A Graduation

It's been a long time, but ya'll it's official, I'm a "graduation"! That's what my 2 year old keeps calling me. "A graduation". To be clear I completed my graduate program after some long years. During my studies I changed jobs twice, worked full time, volunteered occasionally, ran an Etsy shop, started a book club, bought a house, got married, and became a mom. A colleague asked how I was doing all of this and honestly I don't know, it just happened, as life does. I was "rolling with the punches", but it feels so great to be done. It feels even better for my daughter to see graduation caps and point and say "look a graduation".

I'm not the parent that has my child's future planned out in my mind. Shoot, I barely plan out her outfits and there has been a few occasions where I've completely forgotten super important things like diapers and milk. So, it's not odd that I haven't thought much about what she'll be or do. The only thing my husband and I have done in preparation for her future is started a college fund for her. I must say it's my proudest moment as a mom. Ha to all y'all that thought I was winging it, I'm semi responsible. But for the most part I really am winging it, and I'm ok with that. There is beauty in riding the wave, especially with a little one. As she's learning, so am I.
