30 Day Challenge
So, I have ended my fearless devotional. That does not mean I have ended my journey. "Am I more fearless?" ... Possibly... What I do know now is that I am more free, to just live life and be myself without worrying what others around me think. But just like life when something ends something new begins.
One of my co workers has challenged the women in the office to a 30 day challenge. Typically I'm down for any challenge, it must be the competitor in me. But when my co worker informed me of what the challenge consisted of I almost opted out. This 30 day challenge will be 30 days of NO sex, no kissing, no "touchy feely", clearly no pleasure for 30 straight days! The challenge was laid on my co workers heart as a way to give up something that keeps women distant from God and distracted. I'm all for having a more intimate relationship with God, but I'm really worried that I won't last all 30 days. When I was single I would have said "no problem!". But now that I am in a relationship that I ACTUALLY enjoy I'm saying "what's the guidelines?"
So today is the first day of the challenge. Pray for my strength and my attitude (because as a woman I already know when hormones start acting up AND I'm not getting any, my tolerance level for non sense is at an all time low). BUT most importantly pray for my spiritual growth, my relationship with God and a new found appreciation for my body.
Be Fearless,
Ja'Vida
